The author of the yoga sutras, Patanjali explained that the three pillars of yogi’s continuing study involves Tapas (austerity), Svadhyaya (self motivated study) and Ishvara-Pranidhana (devotional practice towards something bigger than us). Yoga is an internal practice that involves external, physical part of our bodies. Therefore, the findings, discoveries and progress of our study is largely dependent on our very subjective views of our practice, which means that at some point in our journey, we must cultivate our own home practice. Alone, just you. You can still go to classes with others, but it is important that we have our solo practice established. This is why Home Practice section of my website exits.

Read, comment, watch and practice. Becoming familiar with our own self is greatly beneficial on this path.
